Inventions

Shared by Viviane Pereda:

The topic of the project is to invent and describe an invention that would be relevant for our society today.

The contents that my students will work on that project are the following:

- Present Perfect Simple/ Continuous (for example, you can use it to describe why you have created it) - Future Tenses (for example, you can use it to make predictions about its usage and popularity in the future) - Connectors of addition and contrast. - Vocabulary from the unit (at least five words)

Regarding the driving questions, students will need to answer the following:

What it does?

How it Works?

Why have you invented it?

What is it used for?

How does it exactly work?

Why is your invention relevant for society?

In the end, they will need to present a comercial as a final product. So, each group will come up with a comercial advertising their invention.

As a cooperative technique that I would include is the Think Pair Share Technique in which students will brainstorm answers for the suggested questions and then they will discuss which idea or ideas are the most suitable ones to design their inventions.
