"How healthy are your hygiene practices at the highschool?" Target: 1º bachillerato (Cultura científica) 2. Contents:

a. Hygiene and bacteria b. How to grow bacteria from different areas of the highschool, before and after cleaning, and from the hands of students (at random). c. How to process the results: determine the source of bacterial contamination (if fecal origin...), amounts of bateria (before and after cleaning...) d. Presenting the results: construction of tables, graphs, photographs, ppt, oral presentations. e. Publishing conclusions and recommendations: along with other activities, students present the findings to students of ESO to raise awareness on the importance of hygiene. 3. Driving question(s):

How could we raise awareness on the importance of personal hygiene and good cleaning practices as a basis for the development of healthy lifestyles and prevention of diseases? 4. Some cooperative techniques you would include: T: What do you think about the hygiene habits and cleaning practices on our highschool? P: Students form groups of 2-3 people S: Students share their thinking with their partner. Then teachers expand the conclusions into a whole-class discussion
