1. Topic:
Organising a trip in Castilla y León for American students. The idea of the project is to elaborate the whole trip (acommodation, restaurants, etc), focusing in the resources that the students will create to explain the different artistic styles in our region.
2. Contents:
Romanesque and Gothic Art
3. Driving question:
- How could we teach the American students about the Romanesque and Gothic art in our region?
- What will be the whole plan for a week trip in Castilla y León?
4. Cooperative techniques:
- Graphic organizers to gather information about the locations where we can find Romanesque and Gothic building
- Think / Pair / Share: Which places /building would you choose to share with the visitors? (those who are more representative of both styles).
- Jigsaw: we will break up the work in different areas (Romanesque architecture, Romanesque sculpture and Romanesque paining, Gothic architecture, Gothic sculpture and Gothic painting) and different students in each group will be experts of an area. Then, they will put everything in common.
- Discuss in groups each element of our trip: hotels, restaurants, attractions... using different graphic organizers to gather information and prepare the plan and the resources that we will use to explain them the artistic styles (podcasts and brochures).
5. Audience: a group of American students who come to visit our region
