I would like to give as an example one of the projects I created three years ago for a 2nd course of ESO. The name of the project was "Great actors can sell anything".
Their assignment was to create a new and impressive TV ad (they used Chromebooks and their mobiles to film and edit their creative videos and Canvas/Genially/others to create the final Canvas that could summarize and convey the idea of their commercial -1 page) focusing on the following curricular contents:
FUNCTIONS:
-Comparing things and actions;
GRAMMAR- comparative and superlative adjectives;
VOCABULARY- TV World.
One of the driving question was:
"How good are you at convincing others about your ideas/projects?
Students worked in group of 3 (Cooperative work) and each of them had a role (director, screenwriter, editor).
We used Jig-saw (each member of each group was an expert on "Comparative, superlative and vocabulary
First experts worked together and after they returned to their initial groups to explain/teach what they had learned) and Circle-the- Sage- to give the students the oportunity to be an active part of the teaching-learning process.
